Counselling & Psychotherapy

Online Therapy

Introduction

I offer secure online therapy sessions for adults across the UK and Worldwide.

Online therapy allows you to access professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own home, without the need to travel to a consulting room. For many people, this makes it easier to fit therapy into busy lives while still providing a confidential and supportive space to talk.

Online sessions can be just as thoughtful, reflective and effective as in-person therapy.

How Online Therapy Works

Sessions take place using a secure video platform such as Zoom.

To take part in an online therapy session you simply need:

• A private and quiet space where you will not be interrupted
• A stable internet connection
• A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera

Sessions last 50 minutes, just as they would in a face-to-face setting.

Is Online Therapy Effective?

Research and clinical experience show that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and stress.

The most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. This therapeutic relationship can develop just as effectively online.

Many clients find that being in their own environment helps them feel more relaxed and able to speak openly.

Who Online Therapy May Suit

Online therapy may be particularly helpful if you:

• Prefer the privacy of speaking from home
• Have a busy schedule
• Live outside South Lanarkshire
• Travel frequently for work
• Feel more comfortable beginning therapy remotely

Online or In-Person

I offer both online therapy across the UK and Worldwide and in-person sessions in South Lanarkshire and Edinburgh.

Some clients choose to work entirely online, while others prefer face-to-face sessions. Both options provide a confidential and supportive space for therapeutic work.

Getting Started

If you would like to arrange an online therapy session or ask any questions, you are welcome to get in touch to discuss availability.

Taking the first step can feel difficult, but many people find that beginning therapy brings a sense of relief and clarity.
